Senior Transportation Project Manager

Dewberry is seeking a motivated, self-starter for our Charlotte, NC office as a Senior Transportation Project Manager for our Roadway group. This is an excellent career opportunity to join a top ENR Transportation Design firm. We are seeking a candidate that will have the opportunity to grow and strengthen our transportation design practice in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate has prior transportation experience with municipal and State DOTs. Previous Project Management experience is required.

Managing roadway design tasks for transportation projects.
• Preparing plans, specifications, and bid packages.
• Coordination with other design professionals and technical staff.
• Monitoring budgets, schedules, and quality.
• Coordinating with other transportation design disciplines.
• Assisting with preparing invoices.
• Identifying new business opportunities.
• Assisting the marketing staff with proposals preparation.
• Representing the firm at professional organization events.
• Mentoring entry-level engineers.
• Interfacing with clients.
• Exercising ethical decision-making and adhering to the Dewberry Code of Conduct.
• Upholding workplace safety and abiding by Dewberry's health and safety, and harassment policies.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering.
• 15 years of transportation design experience.
• NC PE license, or ability to obtain within one year.
• Energetic with ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Project management exposure / experience.
• Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads required. Civil 3D experience desirable.
• Able to prepare manhour / fee estimates
