Job Description

Dewberry has a full-time opening for a Senior Project Manager within our Commercial Utilities - Energy/Renewables Group. You will become part of a growing team that practices total project consulting and provides complete, comprehensive services to a wide variety of clients.

As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for developing project strategy and performing engineering/design quality control reviews for work prepared by multi-discipline professionals and subconsultants. You will also be responsible for managing project financials, while adhering to contractual and invoicing requirements which support the projects being managed. This role requires technical knowledge, construction administration experience and the ability to provide staff mentoring and training within commercial infrastructure, gas utility, electric utility and renewables channels.

Collaboration with other Dewberry offices for resources and project pursuits is expected and desired. This position will require travel to other Dewberry offices, client offices, government agency locations and project sites.

Dewberry offers a comprehensive and very competitive package of insurance programs to regular full-time employees and their eligible dependents the first of the month following their date of hire. The insurance package includes medical, dental, vision, and supplemental life. Additional insurances, at no cost to the employee: life (employee only), accidental death and dismemberment, business travel and accident, and short- and long-term disability are also provided. Employees pay a share of Dewberry's premium expenses (on a pre-tax basis) for medical and dental insurance plans.

Both vary based on level within the program and bonuses are dependent upon company and individual performance. Certain positions are also eligible to receive overtime pay, whereas all non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime (subject to approval).

In addition, a host of discounted purchase programs are available to all employees.

Responsibilities
    Contribute to overall business development strategy, maintain key relationships and lead project pursuits;
  • Develop responses to requests for proposals and qualifications, including cost proposals;
  • Meet with prospective and existing clients to develop and capture new business;
  • Serve as project manager for clients across multiple jurisdictions;
  • Collaborate with and manage multi-discipline technical teams and subconsultants;
  • Manage project financials, invoicing, and collections;
  • Coordinate staff and task scheduling;
  • Provide project strategy and technical guidance to staff and subconsultants;
  • Manage and perform engineering/design quality control reviews;
  • Mentor and technically train junior team members;
  • Collaborate proactively and productively with other groups and company offices.
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture or equivalent required
  • Master of Business Administration desired.
  • 10 years of experience successfully managing commercial utility, energy or renewables projects and technical staff.
  • Relevant licensure in New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania required or ability to obtain licensure within 18 months.
  • Prior background in the planning, design, engineering, approval, permitting and construction. administration of commercial utility, energy or renewables preferred.
  • Worked previously with state and local government agencies to successfully obtain entitlement and permit approvals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A clean driving record is required.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $175,000 - $195,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
