Position Overview
Elizabeth & Alexandra is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Associate to work closely with the President in managing and growing key customer accounts. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in sales and customer service, particularly within the horticulture or grocery industry, who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. The successful candidate will not only maintain existing client relationships but also identify opportunities to expand our footprint in national supermarkets and other key accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for existing accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Support the President in day-to-day account management, including coordinating orders, resolving issues, and monitoring account performance.
- Collaborate with operations, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and sales materials using Excel and PowerPoint to communicate performance, trends, and opportunities to both management and clients.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products to existing clients.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of our products, industry trends, and competitor activity to provide clients with informed recommendations.
- Track sales performance metrics, analyze trends, and make recommendations to improve sales strategies and account growth.
- Assist in special projects as assigned by the President, including market research, sales forecasting, and promotional initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of sales and customer service experience in a B2B environment.
- Experience in the horticulture, floral, or grocery industries is highly desirable.
- Proven success selling fresh cuts, foliage, or hard goods to national supermarket chains is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including data analysis, charts, and reporting) and PowerPoint (creating professional presentations).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel for client visits, trade shows, or industry events.
