We are looking for an experienced Functional Safety Engineer with strong automotive industry experience and hands-on expertise in ISO 26262 to join our engineering team.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of Functional Safety System Requirements and functional decomposition.
• Develop and review HARA (Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment).
• Develop, review, and approve Functional Safety Requirements (FSR) and Technical Safety Requirements (TSR).
• Define and develop Functional Safety Concepts for automotive systems, hardware, and software.
• Review vehicle/system architecture from a Functional Safety perspective.
• Support Functional Safety verification and validation activities.
• Coordinate Functional Safety interfaces with suppliers and external partners.
• Review supplier safety documentation and Functional Safety work products.
• Lead Functional Safety analyses and identify technical solutions to improve system safety.
• Develop and maintain Functional Safety processes, work products, and readiness activities.
• Collaborate closely with systems, hardware, software, design, and validation engineering teams.
• Communicate technical risks, safety concerns, and solutions to engineering and management.
• Lead or support SOTIF / ISO 21448 analysis and related work products.
• Ensure Functional Safety deliverables comply with ISO 26262.

🎯 Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 8 years of professional experience in Functional Safety or a closely related role.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of ISO 26262.
• Proven experience developing and delivering major ISO 26262 Functional Safety work products.
• Automotive Functional Safety experience with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
• 1 year of SOTIF experience, including SOTIF analysis and work products.
• Demonstrated experience performing Functional Safety analysis for automotive systems.
