Sanitation Specialist

We're on the lookout for hardworking Sanitation Specialist to join our team. The role of Sanitation Specialist is responsible for keeping the workplace and food product free of contaminants and harmful bacteria and cleaning and sanitizing equipment

About the role:

• Ability to work safely, following all plant and department specific safety guidelines.
• Ability to handle basic and advance cleaning/sanitizing of equipment, process, non-process areas and grounds as identified by supervisor.
• Ability to facilitate cleaning and sanitation activities to support HACCP and food safety systems through maintenance of sanitary plant conditions.
• Ability to work flexible, as demands and directions changes constantly.
• Able to assist in quality audits and testing.
• Read and interpret safety labels
• Reading Sanitation documents and procedures thoroughly to develop in efficiency, effectiveness, and detailing.
• Taking the time to look over data sheets daily and before turning them in at the end of the work week to eliminate having inaccurate, and incomplete data.
• To verify that all cleaning task are being performed take Zone cleaning check sheets to your work areas.
• To verify cleanliness and to improve on contamination prevention inspect equipment thoroughly after cleaning and sanitizing.

About you:

• Ability to operate sanitation equipment(e.g. foaming unit, floor scrubber, etc.)
• Teamwork orientation and a willingness to help others.
• Personal attributes that include strong ethical standards, reliability, professionalism, ability to work independently, positive attitude, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Ability to multitask and shift priorities in a fast paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Regular and sustained attendance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
