Job Description: Analyst, Devonshire Fund Operations ABOUT DEVONSHIRE INVESTORS Role The Analyst will report to the DI Treasurer and support the various fund platforms at Devonshire Investors, including natural resources, consumer and others. The role will help support the day-to-day operations and reporting of the funds that are investing in these strategies. A successful candidate will focus on establishing, managing, and continuously improving daily operations across these platforms. Devonshire Investors (DI) is a private investment firm affiliated with FMR LLC, the parent company of Fidelity Investments, headquartered in Boston. DI handles investments on behalf of FMR and its shareholders in businesses outside of the financial services industry. DI invests in directly held real estate, venture capital and later-stage private equity. DI actively participates in its direct investments, while tapping into expertise across a global platform of holdings in the United States, Europe and Asia. The portfolio targets the telecommunications, technology, natural resources, and life sciences sectors. DI has more than $10 billion in assets under management. Expertise and Skills you Bring Support the investment teams and operations of DI's fund platforms Insure accurate and timely financial reporting Maintain gross & net performance reporting for DI investments and funds Collaborate with stakeholders in shared services (legal, accounting, tax, treasury, etc.) to ensure all fund reporting obligations are met Experience in private equity or venture capital accounting or fund operations preferred Process capital calls and distributions Coordinate fund financial requirements/deliverables to Devonshire Investors’ finance, corporate accounting, treasury, and tax groups Prepare fund returns overview with individual holdings and fund-level IRR, MOIC, cost basis, etc. Coordinate tax requirements and estimates from portfolio holdings to corporate tax group Maintain workbooks that reconcile cash Support the review of fund financial documents, NAV reporting and G&A charges Complete quarterly reporting including fund dashboards and portfolio company tear sheets Prepare presentations to update partners on portfolio activity and key developments including in relation to quarterly valuation. Qualifications 2-4 years’ experience in fund accounting or operations Solid analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills Resourceful, analytical, collaborative, self-aware, confident, flexible, and comfortable with ambiguity Excellent oral and written communication skills Familiarity with private equity and venture capital BA/BS degree Other Location: Boston, Massachusetts Travel: Less than 5% of time Education level: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Certifications: Category: Finance At Fidelity, we are passionate about making our financial expertise broadly accessible and effective in helping people live the lives they want!
