Responsibilities
- Press and finish garments using professional pressing equipment, ensuring smooth, crisp, and wrinkle-free results
- Inspect clothing items for defects or irregularities before pressing and notify supervisors of any issues
- Follow specific garment care instructions to prevent damage during pressing processes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pressing area, including equipment sanitation and proper storage of supplies
- Assist with dry cleaning and laundry tasks as needed, ensuring garments are properly cleaned and prepared for pressing
- Handle customer garments with care, providing excellent customer service by addressing special requests or concerns
- Accurately record transactions involving cash handling or cashiering duties when applicable
Skills
- Prior experience in garment pressing or dry cleaning is highly desirable
- Knowledge of hospitality or hotel experience is a plus, especially in guest service environments where attention to detail matters
- Strong understanding of laundry processes, cleaning techniques, and garment care standards
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate records
