Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze costs and provide accurate pricing for various construction projects. This role requires excellent negotiation skills and familiarity with industry-standard software such as Bluebeam.
Duties
- Perform takeoffs for all types of structural steel components
- Develop estimate summaries and supporting documentation
- Review drawings, specifications, vendor, and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and scope
- Identify special requirements and buyout items
- Assist in training junior estimators as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (not required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the structural steel industry or similar role
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes
- Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
- Solid background in construction practices and methods
