Devils Lake RV Park is currently accepting applications for a maintenance professional with the abilities to maintain a safe, functional, and attractive facility for our guests. An additional focus on providing exceptional customer service is also a main requirement.
REQUIRED
- High School Diploma/GED
- Altleast 1 year of Experience
- Basic knowledge of RV maintenance, electrical, plumbing, painting, basic repairs, pressure washing, landscaping, and cleaning.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with guests.
- Must have successful results from background check.
JOB DUTIES
Core Utility Systems
Ensuring guests have uninterrupted access to utilities is the top priority for any park.
Electrical: Inspect and report faulty shore-power pedestals, outlets, and circuit breakers.
Water Systems: Monitor for leaks in water distribution lines and hoses; perform summarization and winterization to prevent frozen pipes.
Sewer & Septic: Inspect sewer hookups for leaks or clogs and operate specialized equipment like septic vacuums as needed.
Dispense propane: Fill portable tanks
Maintain trash bin & cardboard areas
Grounds & Landscape Maintenance
The visual appeal and physical safety of the property depend on consistent outdoor upkeep.
Landscaping: Perform regular mowing, edging, tree maintenance to prevent overgrowth and ensure site cleanliness and spot spraying for weeds.
Roadway Upkeep: Maintain Park roads and pathways; this includes snow shoveling, snow blowing, and sanding during winter.
Common Areas: Clean and maintain picnic areas, fire pits, and recreational facilities.
Safely and responsibly operate a maintenance cart.
Facility & Building Upkeep
Buildings and permanent structures require routine inspections and repairs to meet and maintain park standards.
Restrooms & Showers: Conduct daily cleaning and sanitation of common restrooms and shower facilities.
General Repairs: Perform plumbing and electrical repairs in common buildings, as well as sanding, priming, and painting for refurbishment.
Safety & Compliance
Safeguarding guests and staff are a legal and operational necessity.
Emergency Equipment: Regularly check and maintain fire hydrants and other safety features on the property.
Inspections: Conduct daily routine inspections of all park facilities to identify and address hazards promptly.
Regulations: Ensure the entire park stays informed of and compliant with the latest safety regulations.
"Physical demands include standing for 8-10 hours, walking on concrete, and frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires regular bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Environmental: Works in a fast-paced environment with exposure to cold/hot temperatures and rain.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
