Devil Dog Day Care is seeking a professional Groomer to support a large volume of clients. In this role, you will deliver high-quality grooming services while taking ownership of your schedule.
Success looks like consistently providing excellent grooming results, maintaining a positive client experience, and managing your day-to-day workflow efficiently. This position is commission and W2 based, with tips fully retained by you.
Duties & Responsibilities- Provide professional grooming services for clients, ensuring safe handling and comfortable experiences.
- Perform full grooming appointments according to client needs and established standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly sanitized grooming areas and tools.
- Assess coat condition and skin needs to determine appropriate grooming approaches.
- Trim, style, and finish grooming services to meet client expectations and quality benchmarks.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding services, grooming outcomes, and any relevant observations.
- Track appointment flow and manage time effectively while supporting a high client volume.
- Ensure grooming equipment is used correctly and maintained in good working condition.
- Uphold client and animal safety practices throughout every appointment.
- Follow policies and procedures to maintain a respectful, professional environment.
- Must be a professional groomer (not a bather), with hands-on grooming experience.
- Proven experience performing professional grooming services independently.
- Ability to manage a high volume of clients while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Strong understanding of grooming techniques, coat care, and safe handling practices.
- Professional communication skills with clients and team members.
- Reliable time management and ability to work with a flexible, self-managed schedule.
- Experience using scheduling and basic administrative tools (specific software/tools not required, but comfort with digital scheduling is important).
