Position Overview
Devices & Calibrations is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to support our growing customer base while developing into a future outside sales or key account role.
This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and interested in building a long-term career in technical sales within the commercial and industrial space. The role will begin with a strong focus on inside sales responsibilities, customer support, and order management, while also providing hands-on field experience supporting calibration projects, field support/troubleshooting and customer visits.
Role will work in the Devices & Calibration Addison, Texas corporate office (70%) with travel to customer sites up to 30% of time. Some customer sites may require over-night travel.
Key Responsibilities
Inside Sales & Customer Support
• Manage customer orders from quote through fulfillment
• Coordinate order entry, tracking, and follow-up to ensure on-time delivery
• Handle RMAs (Returns, Repairs, and Replacements) and resolve customer issues
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and support needs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
Account Development
• Proactively follow up on quotes, service opportunities, and open projects
• Identify opportunities to expand services and product offerings within existing accounts
• Support the sales team with proposals, pricing, and customer communication
Field & Technical Exposure
• Assist with on-site calibration projects alongside field technicians
• Field support for products to troubleshoot and repair
• Gain hands-on experience with flow meters, air monitoring systems, and gas detection equipment
• Support the technical sales team on customer visits to mechanical contractors, control contractors, and end users
• Learn mechanical room environments and system applications
Career Development Track
• Develop technical and commercial knowledge to transition into an outside sales or key account role
• Build relationships within contractor and end-user networks
• Gain exposure to project lifecycle sales in commercial and industrial environments
Qualifications & Background
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Background or exposure to commercial or industrial controls and/or construction environments. Project or equipment bid preparation and quoting a plus.
• Preferred experience working with or around mechanical contractors or control contractors
• Preference for an individual with project estimating experience and ability to read mechanical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical systems
• Comfortable working in both office and field environments (job sites, mechanical rooms)
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and customer relationships
• Must be based in the Dallas, TX area
