Devereux Connecticut is proud to offer residential, day and transitional programs and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Residence Manager to lead and oversee our Children’s Step‑Up/Step‑Down Program.  This is a short‑term, highly structured residential program for children and adolescents, ages 8 to 21, with intellectual and developmental disabilities who require a temporary increase in support due to transition, destabilization or assessment needs.

This three-bed program provides a safe, supportive and structured environment where individuals can receive enhanced supervision, targeted skill-building assistance and individualized planning. The focus is on stabilization, assessment and the development of a clear transition plan aligned with DDS recommendations and next‑step placement needs.  We work closely with DDS’ Children’s Division to ensure continuity of care and successful transitions. The length of stay is goal‑driven and individualized based on each child or adolescent’s needs and progress.
