What are the responsibilities and job description for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst position at Devereux?
Devereux Day Academy–Laguna Hills is seeking a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students with disabilities through evidence‑based behavior change practices. This is a part-time, 12‑month position that reports to the Special Education Program Manager.

We Offer
The BCBA collaborates closely with teachers, behaviorists, administrators, and agency partners to ensure fidelity of behavior plan implementation, provide consultation on best practices and regulatory requirements, and offer expertise in complex cases. This role also participates in IEP meetings and ensures all services and documentation comply with federal, state, and local regulations. All practices and materials are grounded in evidence‑based ABA methodologies, research‑validated strategies, and California Department of Education–supported procedures.

Qualifications
Education: Masters’ or Doctoral degree in psychology, special education or related field. Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA or BCBA-D) required.
Experience: Prior experience working with students with special needs required. Prior experience working with students with autism preferred.

Qualifications

- Experience conducting FBAs and developing and evaluating Positive Behavior Support Plans across settings
- Strong ABA skills with experience supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorders and/or challenging behaviors
- Ability to provide staff and family training, behavioral consultation, and performance management
- Experience with behavioral supervision, including BCBA supervision as needed
- Ability to review behavior analytic research and support applied research or outcome studies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data collection/analysis platforms
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Valid driver’s license required
