What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher - Moderate Disabilities position at Devereux Day School?
Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island provides individualized treatment for children, adolescents and young adults with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences. We serve individuals throughout the New England area and beyond, and work collaboratively with state agencies and social service providers to ensure an integrated network of care. Our service offerings include residential treatment; campus- and community-based group homes; adult group homes and placement services; a special education day school; autism services; short-term placement; diagnostic services; in-home services; vocational training; and therapeutic foster care. Based in Rutland, MA, our day and residential school provides special education and treatment for youth ages 6-22 including diagnostic and assessment services, extended evaluation and placement options.
As a teacher at Devereux, you will:
-Prepare and teach lessons in accordance with MA curriculum framework and students' IEPs.
-Provide supervision of Teacher's Aides in the classroom.
-Work diligently to meet the needs of our students, both in the classroom, and by being a positive role model to others.
-Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
