DevelopmentNow is an award-winning creative digital development agency based in Portland, OR. We are currently seeking a React Developer to work on contract.
We transform businesses through mobile, web, and emerging technology solutions. Some of our recent clients include Kelly Services, Microsoft, BBDO, AT&T, Ogilvy, Manheim, Avery Dennison, and Time Warner Cable.
The Position
This role's primary responsibility is building web applications with React.
Responsibilities
- Build scalable web applications by designing, building and maintaining high performance, reusable and reliable code
- Develop, maintain and deploy our web applications alongside a team of engineers
- Remain up-to-date with the latest technologies. Understand the benefits and limitations that they will provide
- Work closely with our project, design and business teams to develop and ship new features
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and bug fixing
- Conduct regular code and peer reviews to make sure quality requirements are met
- Interact with other teams and be a part of the process with positive and helpful reviews
- Monitor and participate in workflow tracking (Jira) and documentation (Confluence) so that these scalable processes facilitate business growth
Required Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years experience in professional software development
- Highly experienced using javascript framework ReactJS.
- Experience using APIs to integrate web applications with server side systems
- Knowledge of web and API design principles, patterns and best practices
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate into technical requirements
- Passionate about technology and willing to develop expertise in any emerging field
- Experience with Git and continuous integration
- Experience working in teams that are run with ‘agile’ processes
