About the Role
As an Entry-Level Child Care Specialist / Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with young children, supporting their development through engaging, evidence-based activities rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
This is an entry-level position, and no prior ABA experience is required. DSP Health provides paid training, ongoing supervision, and mentorship, making this role ideal for individuals looking to start or grow a career in healthcare, education, or child development.

Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to children in a clinic-based setting
- Implement ABA intervention plans under the supervision of experienced clinicians
- Use play-based and structured activities to support learning and skill development
- Collect and document data to track progress and guide treatment
- Collaborate with supervisors and families to ensure consistent, high-quality care
Qualifications:
- High school diploma (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
- Experience working with children (preferred, not required)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfort using tablets or basic technology
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbs., sitting/kneeling on the floor, and moving quickly when needed
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- Ability to pass background check and TB clearance
- Must be located in or near San Luis Obispo
