Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Developmental Therapy Early Childhood Specialist
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
STATUS: Full- Time
PURPOSE:
The Developmental Therapy Early Childhood Specialist is responsible for providing special instruction that promotes the child’s development skills. This includes promoting cognitive development, adaptive development, social and emotional well-being, motor development, and communication.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Work with the Service Coordinator to create and implement Family Service Plans.
- Develop and maintain a schedule for home visits.
- Maintain accurate records and data tracking of patient treatments.
- Serve as a positive influence through behaviors, attitudes, and actions.
- Maintain great communication and professional relationships with clients, family members, and co-workers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's and/or Doctorate degree in early childhood or special education with an early childhood focus (Required)
- Those with related degrees in child development including certified Child Life Specialists, early intervention or nursing (MSN with a pediatric major) and who have completed thirty (30) hours of academic child development coursework may also be considered.
- Driver’s license (Preferred)
