RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Reclamation Worker is responsible for sorting recyclable material as part of a team at the University of Illinois Transfer Station. Responsible for utilizing proper receptacles for each type of recyclables and emptying receptacles as needed. Prevent cross contamination of recyclables (mixing plastics with glass, metal with plastics, etc.). Perform other job duties as assigned by the Supported Employment Supervisor, Program Manager or Program Director.
- Ability to work in a standing position while reaching and grabbing for small items
- Ability to twist, bend, stoop, and kneel
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to tolerate heat and cold
- Ability to work as part of a team
- The ideal candidate is punctual, reliable, willing to learn, and a hard worker
- No experience needed; training provided
- Part-time, 20-25 hours per week
- Schedule will vary Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am – 3pm
