Community Homes Residential Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Homes Residential Supervisor to join our team at DEC. As a Residential Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our community homes, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, and managing a team of support staff. Your main goal will be to provide a high level of care and support to our residents, while maintaining a positive and inclusive living environment.

Essential Duties and Functions:

• Provide front line supervision of all site staff.
• Meet regularly with and provide supervision to each site employee to provide skill training and mentoring that supports staff development and document and address any identified needs for improvement.
• Manage site scheduling including all callouts, no-shows and time-off requests and provide coverage as needed.
• Interview and make recommendations regarding new DSP candidates
• Participate in and attend all planning and team meetings for each consumer.
• Work minimum of one shift per week at each house supervised
• Staff supervision monthly 
• Respond appropriately to crisis situations by notifying the appropriate persons, completing/submitting incident reports.
• Report any medical concerns to the clinical coordinator and or management team.
• Develop and coordinate the planning of monthly consumer activities and ensure their implementation.
• Ensure each home has adequate food and supplies
• Complete  a minimum of one shift a week at each home that is being supervised

Administrative

• Manage, monitor, and reconcile all site and consumer-related receipts.
• Oversee the maintenance, upkeep and safety of the physical site and site vehicles, reporting needed repairs, upkeep and conditions to the Residential Director and assistant director.
• Monitor and ensure the timely completion of all site documentation (logs, medications, inventories, incident reports, assessments, progress van logs etc.) and communicate issues and/or problems directly to Residential Director.
• Ensure home is prepared for State licensing visits including medication records, and physical site.
• Other duties as assigned

If you have 2-3 years’ experience working in a residential setting and are ready to take the next step in your professional development, we will provide you the opportunity to do so. This is an hourly position (non-exempt). Driver’s license with decent 3 year driving history is required.
