The Director of Quality Assurance is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality, compliance, and effectiveness of services provided by the agency to individuals with developmental disabilities. This position involves developing and implementing quality assurance processes, monitoring program outcomes, conducting audits, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The Director of Quality Assurance plays a critical role in maintaining high standards of care, enhancing the well-being of program participants, and fostering a culture of excellence within the agency.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance plan that aligns with the agency's mission and regulatory requirements.
  • Program Evaluation: Design and conduct regular evaluations of services and programs to assess their effectiveness, quality, and alignment with best practices.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and contractual requirements related to services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Auditing: Lead internal audits and reviews of agency operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Outcome Measurement: Establish outcome measures and performance indicators to monitor the impact and success of services on program participants' lives.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data and trends to identify patterns, areas of concern, and opportunities for improvement in service delivery and outcomes.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with leadership and program staff to develop and update policies and procedures that enhance service quality and compliance.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in delivering quality services.
  • Incident Management: Oversee the management of incidents and ensure timely reporting, investigations, and appropriate actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis and feedback from stakeholders, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
  • Accreditation and Licensure: Prepare for and support the agency's accreditation and licensure processes, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with service delivery, participant safety, and compliance.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, external agencies, and stakeholders to enhance the overall quality and effectiveness of services.
  • Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their inclusion and access to high-quality services.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to executive leadership and board members on the status of quality assurance efforts and outcomes.

 

Qualifications:

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, special education) preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience: 

  • Significant experience in the field of developmental disabilities services, including quality assurance, compliance, or program evaluation, with demonstrated leadership and managerial experience.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of best practices, regulations, and standards in the field of developmental disabilities services.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with staff, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership abilities to guide and motivate teams, influence change, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ethical Standards: Demonstrated commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities, regulations, and needs of the agency and program participants.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Driver's License: Some positions may require a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for transportation purposes.
  • Current and up-to-date vehicle insurance
  • Background Check: A clear background check may be required due to the sensitive nature of the position.

 

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
