Summary
We are seeking a Fryer to join our team at DHI Sweet Street Bakery. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality fried foods in a safe and efficient manner. Your contributions will play an essential part in providing nutritious meals that support the well-being of our residents. Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday 5:30AM – 10:30AM. $15/hr. plus tips.
Responsibilities
· Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods according to established recipes and standards.
· Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
· Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils in good working condition.
· Assist in the preparation of ingredients and other food items as needed.
· Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food quality.
· Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
Requirements
· The Pastry and Fry Cook must be at least 18 years of age.
· Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
· Excellent attention to detail and culinary skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
· The Pastry and Fry Cook must hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent. The Pastry and Fry Cook must pass a DHI Background Check in line with DHI policy and DHS standards (see Background Checks policy for most current guidelines).
