Job Summary – Front Desk Supervisor (Hotel Under Renovation)
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Front Desk Supervisor to oversee front desk operations during the hotel’s renovation phase. This role is critical in ensuring smooth guest services, maintaining professional communication, and supporting both staff and management in a dynamic and evolving environment. The Front Desk Supervisor will act as a primary liaison between guests, contractors, and hotel management, ensuring a positive guest experience while upholding safety and operational standards during construction and limited-service operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise front desk staff, ensuring consistent delivery of excellent customer service despite renovation challenges.
- Monitor check-in/check-out processes, resolve guest concerns, and provide accurate information on modified amenities and services.
- Maintain updated knowledge of construction schedules, restricted areas, and safety protocols, and effectively communicate these to guests and staff.
- Train, coach, and schedule front desk associates to handle unique guest requests, complaints, and safety issues related to renovation.
- Assist management in implementing temporary procedures, signage, and guest flow adjustments to minimize disruption.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, engineering, and contractors to align front desk operations with ongoing construction work.
- Handle billing, cash handling, and reporting duties with accuracy and integrity.
- Enforce safety, security, and compliance standards in accordance with hotel policies.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel front desk or supervisory experience required (hospitality industry preferred).
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure or disruptive situations.
- Working knowledge of hotel property management systems (PMS).
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving schedules, guest expectations, and operational changes during renovation.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
