What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meta-Optics with Unusual Physical Properties for Novel Device Concepts position at DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory?
The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Army Research Laboratory is the U.S. Army's foundational research laboratory. In this specific project, the postdoctoral researcher will have a unique opportunity to work on various aspects of cutting-edge meta-optics device research including (1) high-frequency electromagnetic simulations and optimization, (2) nanoand micron-scale device fabrication, (3) optical and electronic device measurements. Successful candidate should have a recent Ph.D. in electrical engineering, applied physics, or a closely related field. Hands-on experiences with commercial simulation tools such as COMSOL Multiphysics or Lumerical FDTD, cleanroom fabrication of metasurfaces are highly desirable.
