We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Health Epidemiologist to join our team. This role involves analyzing health data, conducting research, and supporting public health initiatives to improve community health outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in data management, statistical software, and epidemiological methods, contributing to evidence-based decision-making and policy development.
Duties
- Collect, manage, and analyze epidemiological data from various sources including Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and laboratory reports
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and GIS tools to communicate findings effectively
- Conduct research studies on disease patterns, risk factors, and intervention outcomes
- Monitor disease outbreaks and provide timely reports to public health authorities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on public health initiatives and research projects
- Ensure data quality through rigorous management practices and adherence to confidentiality standards
- Contribute to the development of surveillance protocols and data collection methodologies
Experience
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a related field; PhD preferred for senior roles
- Proven experience in epidemiological research or surveillance activities within a public health setting
- Experience with GIS mapping tools and EHR systems is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of biostatistics, data collection techniques, and laboratory procedures
- Familiarity with laboratory experience is a plus
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings clearly
- Knowledge of public health policies, disease control strategies, and research ethics
Pay: $31.74 - $58.73 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
