Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess a diverse skill set to support various medical settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic life support and assistance to patients in need
- Assist with geriatric patient care and activities of daily living
- Utilize anatomy knowledge to aid in patient positioning and comfort
- Support clinic operations by escorting patients, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records
- Offer compassionate senior care services with empathy and respect
- Experience with children to provide specialized care when needed
- Assist in hospice care services for terminally ill patients
- Implement aseptic techniques for infection control in clinical environments
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a teaching hospital setting
- Support inpatient services by attending to patient needs promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with geriatrics, pediatrics, and hospice care is advantageous
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control measures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with patients of all ages
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different patient care scenarios
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
