Job Title : licensed practical Nurse
Location: Torrington - CT
Duration: Long term
Job Type : Contract (We can consider - W2)
2nd shift Work timing - Start Time - 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Approx. 3 days per week (Sat/Sun/Mon) - Occasionally other days available
Responsibilities:
- Must have experience with passing meds in nursing home-type setting.
- Experience with individuals with Intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
- This position would be responsible for medication and treatment administration on 2nd shift (2-1030p) for approximately
- 16 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Individuals range from mild to severe impairment, with multiple medical diagnosis including but not limited to: seizure disorder, dysphagia, respiratory issues, psychiatric illness with challenging behaviors.
- The LPN would report directly to the 2nd shift Charge RN,and would be responsible for reporting any change in condition to the RN for follow up.
- Preferred candidate would have experience with similar population, experience with ICF IID (Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities) or SNF,
- minimum 5 years experience as an LPN, and have mastered knowledge of safe medication administration principles.
- Candidate may work with other disciplines (OT, PT, ST, dietary, PCP, RN, direct care staff).
