We’re hiring a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to lead the design, automation, and optimization of mission-critical systems in Microsoft Azure.If you’re a proactive, senior-level cloud engineer who excels in infrastructure as code, CI/CD automation, and secure cloud architecture, we’d love to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesArchitect and implement Azure-based infrastructure following Azure Well-Architected Framework principlesWrite, review, and maintain Bicep or Terraform IaC modules for infrastructure provisioningBuild and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps PipelinesManage Azure-native services including VMs, AKS, ACR, App Services, Storage Accounts, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Azure AD, Front Door, Application Gateway, Azure Monitor/Log AnalyticsDesign multi-subscription and hub-and-spoke networking topologies using Azure Management Groups, Virtual WAN, Private Link, and RBACDeploy, configure, and manage Palo Alto firewalls in Azure, integrating with ExpressRoute, hybrid connectivity, and secure inter-VNet communicationsLead and support application and infrastructure migrations from on-premises into Azure services (including workloads running on platforms such as vSphere and Pure Storage)Debug and optimize Azure RBAC policies, Managed Identity integrations, and inter-service networking (VNets, NSGs, UDRs, Peering)Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and DynatraceGuide security and compliance practices (Azure AD SSO/SAML, Key Vault encryption, Azure Backup/Recovery Vault, resource tagging, policy enforcement, etc.)Document architecture and processes; support teams across US time zonesQualificationsWork Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.Location Requirement: Must be a resident of the continental United States.6 years of hands-on DevOps or Cloud Engineering experienceDeep knowledge of Azure core services, governance, and architecture patternsStrong experience with Bicep or TerraformProficiency in container tooling (Docker, AKS, or App Services)Solid understanding of Azure AD, RBAC, networking (VNets, NSGs, Palo Alto firewalls, ExpressRoute), and monitoring best practicesStrong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShellUnderstanding of .NET or Java application stacksExcellent communication skills and experience supporting distributed teams6 years of hands-on Azure experience, including production-grade infrastructure and core services6 years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role, focusing on CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as codeNice to HavesExperience with vSphere and Pure Storage in enterprise environmentsFamiliarity with hybrid networking scenarios (VPN, ExpressRoute Global Reach)Exposure to enterprise compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST) and experience collaborating with SOC/SIEM teamsKnowledge of QRadar or similar SIEM platformsExperience with integration of 3rd party APIs into cloud platformsProficiency with Power BI, including building dashboards from Azure service data sourcesExposure to FinOps practices (Azure Cost Management, budgets, and governance for cost optimization)CompensationW2 Employment: $200-300k annually with full benefits, including:401(k) with employer matching 6%Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offLife insuranceAt DevAltus, we’re a boutique consultancy specializing in cloud-native infrastructure, cybersecurity, and intelligent automation.
