As search behavior evolves through Google, YouTube, and large language models, we’re looking for an SEO Copywriter who understands how content is discovered and interpreted across all three.
Role Overview
As an SEO Copywriter, you will develop and optimize content for visibility and performance across Google Search, YouTube, and LLM-powered platforms. This role combines classic SEO fundamentals with modern optimization techniques for semantic search, conversational queries, and AI-driven discovery. You’ll collaborate closely with strategists, content producers, and video teams to create copy that is engaging, clear, and discoverable—whether surfaced through a search engine, a video feed, or an AI response.
Key Responsibilities
• Write and optimize titles, descriptions, metadata, and structured copy for YouTube videos to improve discovery, click-through rate, and watch time.
• Develop keyword strategies and topic clusters that support visibility across Google Search and YouTube.
• Optimize scripts, long-form content, and supporting copy for structure, clarity, and relevance, with LLM summarization and interpretation in mind.
• Research audience questions, search intent, and conversational query patterns across platforms.
• Apply on-page SEO best practices while adapting content for AI search Overview and recommendations.
• Monitor performance metrics across platforms (search rankings, impressions, CTR, views, watch time) and iterate accordingly.
• Refresh and optimize existing content to improve long-term discoverability and relevance.
• Stay current on algorithm updates, SEO best practices, and evolving behaviors in AI-powered discovery.
Qualifications
• 6 years of experience in SEO copywriting or digital publishing with SEO focus.
• Proven experience optimizing content across Google Search and YouTube.
• Strong understanding of semantic SEO, search intent, and entity-focused optimization.
• Working knowledge of how LLMs interpret and surface content (clear structure, context, authority).
• Experience writing for video content, including scripts, titles, and descriptions.
• Proficiency in SEO and analytics tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, YouTube Analytics).
• Data-driven approach, with the ability to translate insights into practical content improvements.
• Experience optimizing content for voice search or conversational interfaces.
• Familiarity with schema, content hubs, or knowledge graph concepts.
