Overview
As an Associate Engineer, you will contribute to building and enhancing critical data platforms that support Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Bank, with a focus on control frameworks and regulatory delivery. Working closely with experienced engineers, you’ll help develop scalable, cloud-enabled solutions that improve how data is governed and consumed across the business. You’ll be involved across the engineering lifecycle, supporting development, testing, and deployment while gaining exposure to modern architectures and technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role offers the opportunity to build your technical skills while contributing to high-impact initiatives tied to regulatory commitments and the bank’s broader data transformation strategy.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $85,000 to $129.500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. - Hands-on experience or academic background in Java or other JVM languages
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and software development principles
- Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
- Exposure to Spring, RESTful services, or microservices concepts is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Curiosity and adaptability toward new technologies
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
