Facility Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Facility Maintenance Technician . The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and maintaining a large facility, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the Detroit Training Center, including classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and kitchen, Workshop Area - including frequent vacuuming
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and replacing damaged tiles
• Replace Air filters / maintain Vacuums and Filters.
• Respond to maintenance requests from staff and students
• Order and stock supplies
• Keep records of all maintenance activities
• Assist with Moving Projects throughout the facility
• Communicate effectively with both management and coworkers on needs as they arise.
• Removing all trash daily
• Any and all projects as directed by management.
  
  

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a janitor or facility maintenance person
• Strong cleaning and maintenance skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift and move heavy objects
• Must be able to work on ladders
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
