(DRP) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that provides outpatient recovery support services for those with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We treat the whole person through our integrated programs of primary medical and behavioral healthcare.
Our program philosophy is rooted in developing a healthy recovery ecosystem for those seeking long-term recovery. Through strong therapeutic relationships with our clients, helping them to understand the underlying social and emotional issues that drive their substance use, the recovery ecosystem focuses on five key areas:
DRP is hiring full-time, fully licensed Youth Therapists to support young adults ages 18–24 receiving services in our Youth Services program. The Youth Therapist will provide intensive therapy, treatment planning, and professional casework for clients with complex needs, focusing on trauma recovery, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
Compensation Range: The starting pay range for this position is $75,000-$85,000 for fully licensed candidates per year and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. This is a salaried-exempt role that is ineligible for overtime compensation.

The Ideal candidate will:
- Screen, assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans to help clients on their path to recovery.
- Participate in treatment team conferences and collaborate with other professionals, family members, and referral sources.
- Research and locate available help outlets based on clients' needs, offering both in-house and external referrals.
- Follow up on the services clients are referred to, ensuring their participation and program compliance.
- Maintain flexible hours to meet the needs of our clients and agency.
- Continuously enhance your professional growth through educational programs, workshops, and current literature.
- Will preferably have evidence-based, youth focused certifications:
- TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
- DBT Training (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
- CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy)
- Motivational Interviewing Certification/Training
- Registered Play Therapist (RPT) or play therapy training
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a mental health setting as a fully licensed MSW, LPC, or an equivalent combination of experience and education such as an LMSW
- LMSW or LPC License in the State of Michigan
- Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) Certificate, or MCBAP CAADC Development Plan (required for providing Substance Use Disorder Services).
- Experience working with:
- Adolescents & transition-age youth (14–24)
- Youth in foster care, child welfare, juvenile justice systems
- At-risk or justice-involved youth
- Youth with co-occurring (SUD MH) diagnoses
- A valid and unrestricted State of Michigan Driver’s License and insurance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with EMR systems is a plus!
- Trauma-informed care, cultural competency, youth development, CPI or NCI (Non-violent Crisis Intervention), mandated reporting training preferred.
