DFI is a family-owned manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging for the food industry. We have been in business for 60 years, without a layoff in our history.
Our Office Assistant – Part Time is a multi-faceted role. This person will be trained to perform the following duties on a M-F, 8a-12p schedule with 2-3 hours every third Saturday:
- Customer service such as answer customer calls, assist with order updates and shipping inquiries
- Input customer orders, send confirmations
- Order invoicing
- Inventory entry and reconciliation
- Assist with logistics tasks, such as scheduling trucks for outbound orders as well as working with carriers to achieve best rates and meet customers’ delivery requirements
- Work with outside vendors/purchasing office supplies and designated manufacturing supplies
Once trained, this role will require 2-3 hours on every third Saturday to assist with inventory updates to support our weekend manufacturing production.
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone with a stable job history, most of our office personnel have been with us for 5 years. Multitasking and great organizational skills are a must. We need someone who has excellent communication skills and a background in customer service and general office duties.
