What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Electrician position at Detroit Forming, Inc.?
Manufacturer of extruded plastic sheet and thermoformed plastic food packaging seeks a full-time Industrial Electrician.
Job Purpose:
You will be responsible for troubleshooting and field updates to control systems in an industrial environment. Working closely with all job positions within the factory – you will diagnose and correct electrical issues with controllers (PLC, temperature, etc.), drives, actuators, machinery and building power circuits.
Experience:
- Journeyman electrician or 5-years of structured electrical licensing framework greater than an electrical apprentice
Required Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of industrial controls, AC/DC drives, motors, etc.
- Ability to read blueprints and work with electrical measuring tools
- Mechanical ability
- Must understand safety standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS Office experience
- CAD experience – ability to draw schematics in 2D
