Job Summary
We are seeking an Office Manager to join our team. You will work directly with the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer of the Detroit Fire Fighters Association. In this role, you will coordinate all administrative duties and office procedures, ensuring the workplace operates smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include scheduling meetings, paying invoices, and maintaining office equipment. The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to implement systems and procedures. A caring disposition with good communication skills are a must. You will be supporting/serving all of the City of Detroit's Firefighters and EMTs.
ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Maintain calendar of appointments and meetings
- Design the office layout with efficiency and organization in mind
- Collaborate with other organizations/City of Detroit departments to create, update, and maintain office procedures
- Maintain office equipment in good working order in cooperation with our I.T. contractor
- Pay and record invoices
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required, some college preferred
- Previous experience as an Office Manager or similar position preferred
- Understanding of office equipment, systems, and procedures
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to create and or manage a database
- Familiarity and skills in managing a website and social media
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Salary : $44,765 - $73,070
