Automotive Embedded / ADAS Validation Engineer (Onsite – Dearborn, MI)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Embedded / ADAS Validation Engineer with a strong background in vehicle communication protocols, embedded systems, and test automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing and automating test cases, working with automotive networks, and supporting software validation for vehicle systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze system and functional requirements from specifications and clarify any gaps
- Develop detailed test cases based on system requirements
- Automate test cases using CAPL and/or Python scripting
- Execute test plans across various software milestone releases
- Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA, and support retesting until closure
- Participate in regular review and status meetings
- Support project process activities and documentation
- Assist with hardware shipment, procurement, and inventory management
- Coordinate hardware distribution for project needs
Required Qualifications
- BE/BTech or Master’s degree in Electronics or related Engineering field
- 2 years (24 months) of relevant experience in automotive embedded systems or validation
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of vehicle architecture and automotive systems
- Hands-on experience with vehicle communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet
- Experience with embedded systems and ECU-level testing
- Proficiency in C, Python, or similar programming languages
- Experience with CAPL scripting and Vector tools (CANoe/CANalyzer)
- Basic knowledge of automotive industry standards
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) validation/automation
- Exposure to HIL (Hardware-in-the-loop) testing environments
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment
