Description
Reporting directly to the Program Manager, the GDYT Project Coordinator’s primary function is to develop, lead, and implement comprehensive youth servicing events. The GDYT Project Coordinator must be able to work effectively with young people, employers, partners, and the DESC staff.
Requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates career awareness and exploration activities, such as on-site and virtual presentations
- Regularly checks and actively tracks the progress of the training plan and placement goals by maintaining current data on youth enrollment
- Manage GDYT Contracts in LaunchPad and Microix alongside finance for compliance
- Provide support for GDYT Career Connections Fairs and Youth Orientations
- Collaborate with DESC staff and partners to deliver 12 hours of comprehensive Work Readiness Pre-training material
- Conducts research, gathers information, and negotiates event venues
- Proposing ideas to improve the services provided and event quality
- Ensures compliance with insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations
- Specifies staff requirements and coordinates their activities
- Leads planning and design while managing all project delivery elements within time limits
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:
- Must possess excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Maintain extreme confidentiality and discretion at all times. Maintain an appropriate filing system for all confidential materials.
- Client-driven and committed to timely, responsive, and exceptional service to employers and students
- Must be proficient with a variety of online and computer technologies, particularly Microsoft Windows environment, and demonstrate skills in database management
EDUCATION
- Must possess an associate’s degree in education, social work, administration, or a related human service field or equivalent work experience. Must have at least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience working in an educational institution, human resources, non-profit, or community-based organization.

COMPENSATION
- $28.85 Per Hour
- Start Date: May 4th (or another mutually agreed upon date)
