HR Specialist
Location: Fargo, ND (Hybrid / In-Office 3 days per week)
Reports to: Operations Lead
OverviewDetect Auto is modernizing the automotive repair industry with automation and intelligence tools that help shops work smarter. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and people-focused HR Specialist to manage day-to-day HR operations from recruiting and onboarding to benefits, payroll coordination, and compliance. You’ll play a key role in ensuring a great employee experience and a well-organized company as we scale.
Responsibilities- Manage new hire onboarding, paperwork, and orientation.
- Support recruiting by posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and managing candidate communication.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation (digital and physical).
- Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
- Coordinate performance review cycles and employee engagement initiatives.
- Support the Operations Lead with culture projects, reporting, and internal communication.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee HR-related questions.

Required:
- 2 years in HR, recruiting, or administrative support roles.
- Familiarity with HR processes (onboarding, benefits, compliance).
- Strong written and organizational skills.

- Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
Salary Range:
