What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Technician position at Detec Systems LLC?
Must be able to work in Canada and the USA
Position Overview:
Perform Membrane Integrity Scans on roofing and waterproofing membranes using patented technology.
Installation of our state-of-the-art moisture detection systems for building envelopes and low sloped roofs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Integrity Scans on roofing and waterproofing membranes (training & certification will be provided).
Complete daily field reports.
Communicate with project managers and general contractor superintendents.
Installation of system sensors including splicing and pulling low voltage cables (training & certification will be provided).
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
Construction industry experience.
Experience with electrical low voltage systems and diagnostic tools.
Must be proficient in use of computer applications, including MS Office.
Performance Competencies:
Effective analytical, written, oral and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated, with strong work ethic and ability to work with limited supervision.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and timelines.
Successful candidate must be in good physical condition – the position involves some rooftop and ladder work.
Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in all types of weather.
Assets:
Must have reliable vehicle
Experience with building construction industry, specific to roof assemblies and building envelopes.
Ability to read and understand basic blueprint drawings.
Applicant should be mechanically inclined.
Ability and willingness to work in Canada and the USA and to travel across the US and Canada on short notice.
*Hours can fluctuate depending on project schedules. Ideal candidate will have some flexibility to accommodate construction schedule changes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
