Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Asphalt Paver Operators to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy paving equipment to ensure the efficient and precise placement of asphalt surfaces on various projects. Your expertise will help create smooth, durable roads and pavements that meet high-quality standards. Duties
- Operate asphalt pavers and related heavy equipment to lay asphalt according to project specifications and safety standards
- Coordinate with crew members to ensure proper paving techniques, including leveling and compaction
- Use concrete mixers, concrete pumping equipment, and other machinery to support paving operations when necessary
- Assist with loader operation, excavator tasks, and dump truck handling to transport materials efficiently across the site
- Install rebar and prepare concrete forms as needed for paving projects involving concrete components
- Conduct routine inspections of paving equipment, perform basic mechanical maintenance, and troubleshoot issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols on construction sites, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA guidelines
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as asphalt pavers, loaders, excavators, and dump trucks
- Strong background in construction site work with a focus on paving and concrete finishing processes
- Knowledge of concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete mixing techniques is highly desirable
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance on machinery
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for operating commercial vehicles involved in transportation of materials
- Demonstrated understanding of safety procedures specific to construction environments
- Prior experience working with concrete mixers, concrete pumping systems, and other related equipment is a plus
