Job Description:
As a Route Driver, you will safely transport clients, passengers, or goods along designated routes while ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs. You will provide professional, courteous service and assist passengers as needed, including individuals with mobility challenges. Responsibilities include:
- Operating company vehicles safely and following route instructions.
- Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Assisting passengers and ensuring proper securement of wheelchairs or mobility devices.
- Reporting incidents, delays, or vehicle issues promptly.
- Maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent {preferred}.
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean record (minimum 3 years)
- Prior experience in transportation, delivery, or customer service {preferred}.
- Ability to lift and assist passengers as needed.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and committed to safety.
- Must pass background check and drug screening; CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire. Destiny Transportation Services will cover the cost of this certification.
