Medical Billing Specialist

OverviewWe are an Internal Medicine and Urgent Care practice looking for an experienced billing specialist to join our billing team, the individual must be a true problem solver, extremely detail oriented individual, ready to resolve insurance non payments or delays with precision and urgency.If you enjoy financial detective work making impact in the world of medical billing, being at the center of revenue cycle and keen to chase every dollar from the insurance companies, this is your job!The ideal candidate must have a persistent and solution-focused mindset.Proven records /experience in working insurance, denials and patient account AR is required.Must be self directedDutiesInvestigate with a sense of urgency on aging accounts for assigned clients using payer calls and online portals.Work and resolve denials, payment disputes, delays, and requests for additional info.Execute denial management procedures in line with client contracts and internal protocolsCommunicate recurring issues, denial trends, and payer changes to the practice management or owners.Identify and escalate claims over 90 days claims to practice management for resolution.Accurately document all actions taken across various portals and software.Ability to train and guide other billing staff .QualificationsAtleast three  years experience in insurance and patients AR is required to apply.Ability to work independently and show real results each dayExperience in insurance AR, follow-up, or denial managementSolid understanding of the medical billing lifecycle and payer requirementsStrong attention to detail with great time-management and communication skillsConfidence using billing platforms and payer portalsWork within CMS, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines to ensure complianceUnderstanding and adherence to HIPAA regulation and remain compliance.Job Types:  part time, full time, contract Benefits only for full time employees Work Location: In person or remote
