Job Title/Position: Staffing Coordinator/Scheduler
Job Description Summary:
Performs clerical/scheduling activities that facilitate agency operations. These activities include coordination of employee schedules with client wants/needs, processing intake information, and communication with referral sources.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
· Maintains schedule for services requested and provided to agency clients.
· Assures cases are filled within established time frames.
· Completes documentation (paper or automated system).
· Provides notification of schedule to employees.
· Responds to emergency calls and arranges schedule accordingly.

· Provides appropriate notification of schedule to employee, client, contract agency, supervisor and other as appropriate.
· Monitors overtime and mileage records of employees.
· Provides direction to field staff and communicates with supervisors as needed to assure safe and effective coverage of client needs.
· Assigns agency staff to clients as directed by the care plan and service request.
· Assures employees receive complete and accurate directions and information about client needs.
· Reports any scheduling changes to supervisor.
· Notifies client of changes and monitors employee performance in areas of dependability, responsiveness, timeliness, and client concerns.
· Follows up with employee on scheduling problems encountered by the on-call staff.
Qualifications
· High School graduate; advanced education desirable.
· Current staffing experience, preferably staffing for a temporary agency.
· Knowledge of medical terminology or a general medical background desirable.
· Excellent telephone, communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
· Computer literate or willing to be trained on a personal computer.
· Speak, read, write and comprehend English.
· Time management, organizational skills, and ability to function with minimal direction.

Physical Requirements:
Job requires considerable physical effort most of the day including sitting, squatting, twisting, climbing, walking normal, uneven and slippery surfaces. Reach over head and shoulder, hand use on computer keyboard/ten key, fine dexterity, repetitive hands motions. Ability to tolerate exposure to temperature and humidity changes and maximal assist in lifting, pulling, and pushing 10-100-pound items. Must be able to push, pull, move, stand, bend at neck and waist, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds binders, or equipment’s, and able to push, pull, move, as may be necessary to assist in the event evacuation off the building during emergency situations.
Mental Requirements:
Must be able to work independently and make judgments based on information available and act accordingly. Must be flexible, innovative, and possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress and demonstrate emotional stability needed to perform the job.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
