Job Title: Bilingual Scheduler (Home Care)

We are actively seeking a reliable and organized Bilingual Scheduler to join our growing home care team. Due to high demand, we are prioritizing candidates who are fluent in both English and Spanish.

Position Overview

The Scheduler plays a key role in coordinating home care services for clients in their homes and communities. This position ensures all clients are properly staffed, caregivers are scheduled accurately, and services are delivered efficiently and in compliance with agency policies and state regulations.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to the Branch Manager / Lead Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage caregiver schedules to ensure all client needs are covered
  • Communicate daily with caregivers and clients regarding schedule changes, call-offs, and coverage needs
  • Ensure all services are staffed in a timely manner and minimize gaps in care
  • Monitor attendance and follow up on missed or incomplete shifts (EVV compliance)
  • Assist with onboarding schedules for new caregivers and clients
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation
  • Collaborate with supervisors to ensure efficient use of staffing resources
  • Support office operations with administrative tasks as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, caregivers, and team members
  • Assist with resolving scheduling conflicts and urgent staffing needs

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) REQUIRED
  • Prior experience in home care scheduling, healthcare, or staffing coordination preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle urgent situations
  • Knowledge of EVV systems (Verveware/HHAeXchange) is a plus
  • Experience with Illinois Department on Aging (IDOA) programs is a strong plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $40,000 – $45,000 (based on experience)

Requirements

Qualifications/Education

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Proper Vehicle Insurance Coverage

Training/Experience

  • May require related experience.
  • In order to serve as an Alzheimer's services supervisor working in an entity licensed under 77 Ill. Adm. Code 245 or 280, an individual shall complete at least eight hours of training annually related to the care of residents or clients with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias. The Alzheimer's services supervisor shall also meet at least one of the following requirements:
  • Achieve a certification from one of the following:
  • The Alzheimer's Association's EssentiALZ program;
  • An organization that provides a credentialing certificate for a certified dementia specialist (CDS);
  • The National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (CDP) as a certified dementia practitioner; or
  • The National Certification Board for Alzheimer and Aging Care; or
  • Have a minimum of two years of experience working with persons with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias, at least one year of which is management experience working with persons with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias, and have completed ability-centered care training.

Salary : $40,000 - $45,000
