Duties
- Operate industrial sewing machines and serging equipment to assemble handbag components with precision and efficiency
- Manually cut fabric materials according to detailed patterns and measurements, ensuring accuracy for each piece
- Construct handbags by following detailed garment construction and seam construction techniques
- Handle various materials including fabrics, upholstery, and leather to meet project specifications
- Conduct dimensional measurements and quality inspections to ensure products adhere to strict quality standards in production
- Maintain safety standards in production by following proper procedures and using protective equipment at all times
- Assist with materials handling within the warehouse or production area, organizing supplies for smooth workflow
Requirements
- Proven experience with sewing machine operation, particularly industrial sewing machines and serging equipment
- Strong understanding of measuring instruments and dimensional measurements for precise fabric cutting and assembly
- Knowledge of quality standards in production, including garment sewing, upholstery, and handbag manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with materials handling, fabric materials, and upholstery techniques
- Ability to perform manual cutting (fabric cutting) accurately based on detailed patterns and measurements
- Experience with safety standards in production environments to ensure a safe working space for all team members
- Basic warehouse experience is preferred to support efficient materials management during production processes
