Duties
- Assist in the installation of hardscape features such as pavers, stonework, and retaining walls following technical drawings and project plans
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to move materials and prepare sites for construction
- Use hand tools for tasks like cutting, shaping, and securing building materials including tile, drywall, plastering compounds, and cabinetry
- Support the installation of outdoor elements including fencing, landscaping features, and lighting fixtures
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a secure work environment on all construction sites
- Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to ensure precise execution of projects
- Collaborate with team members to complete remodeling projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or outdoor labor roles with knowledge of hardscaping or building material installation preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation required
- Basic understanding of construction management principles and estimating processes advantageous
- Experience with interpreting technical drawings and construction plans essential
- Knowledge of safety procedures and adherence to safety protocols on job sites necessary
- Skills in plumbing, electrical work, drywall installation, tiling, caulking, carpentry (including trim carpentry), flooring installation, cabinet installation, plastering, or window installation are a plus
- Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions preferred
- Ability to follow instructions accurately while working efficiently in a team environment
