Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and performing routine assessments.
- Assist in tube feeding and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records, preferably using Cerner.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in outpatient settings to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and treatment options.
- Support emergency medicine procedures as needed in urgent care settings.
- Participate in acute pain management strategies for patients recovering from surgery or injury.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Cerner.
- Experience in medical office settings with knowledge of coding practices.
- Familiarity with dermal fillers and other cosmetic procedures is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively teach patients about their health conditions and treatments.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a teaching hospital environment.
- Knowledge of outpatient care processes and urgent care protocols.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing excellent patient care.
