Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Technician, located in Destin, FL. The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment related to water utilities and wastewater treatment. Tasks include diagnosing electrical issues, troubleshooting faults, assembling or modifying control systems, and implementing preventive maintenance plans. The role also involves adhering to safety protocols, updating technical documentation, and collaborating with other teams to ensure the reliability of DWU’s operations.
Qualifications
- Experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and panels
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical problems in industrial settings
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Proficiency in using tools and test equipment, such as multimeters and circuit testers
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance and control system assembly
- Working knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for electrical work
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and team collaboration abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification or technical training in electrical systems is preferred
- Experience in water or wastewater operations is a plus
