Role Description The Electrical Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Destin, FL. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment used in water, wastewater, and reclaimed water operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, diagnosing electrical issues, conducting troubleshooting and repairs, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. The Electrical Technician will work closely with operations and maintenance teams, follow safety and regulatory guidelines, and document all maintenance activities and repairs.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Electricity and basic Electrical Engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience with Electrical Maintenance and servicing Electrical Equipment.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting electrical systems, components, and controls.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with industrial or utility environments, preferably in water or wastewater systems.
- Understanding of safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and relevant electrical codes.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in electrical trade is preferred.
- Capability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, lift moderate loads, and respond to occasional after-hours calls.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
