Duties
- Monitor security cameras and conduct regular patrols to identify potential security breaches or safety hazards
- Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for visitors, contractors, and employees
- Respond swiftly to incidents by writing detailed incident reports and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
- Perform thorough background checks on new personnel or vendors to ensure compliance with security protocols
- Execute emergency response procedures including fire drills, first aid administration, AED operation, CPR, and Taser deployment when necessary
- Manage physical security measures such as heavy lifting during equipment setup or maintenance tasks while adhering to manual handling safety standards
- De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques and maintain a calm demeanor during tense situations
Experience
- Prior experience in security roles, military service, law enforcement or related fields demonstrating strong surveillance skills and physical security knowledge
- Proven ability to perform background checks and handle access control systems effectively
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use preferred; training provided if necessary
- Familiarity with incident report writing, emergency response procedures, and compliance with security regulations
- Experience in performing patrolling routines, conflict de-escalation, conflict management, and heavy lifting tasks
- Knowledge of fire safety protocols and emergency response procedures is highly desirable
