DESTIHL® Beer Hall & Barrel Room is seeking an enthusiastic, welcoming, and results-driven Event Manager with a “boycott bland” attitude to lead event execution and drive event sales growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, closing deals, and creating unforgettable guest experiences.

The Event Manager plays a critical role in revenue generation, actively selling event experiences, increasing bookings, and maximizing catering and beverage opportunities. They enhance the guest experience, create lasting memories, and professionally develop the events team—all while proactively identifying new business opportunities and strengthening client partnerships.

This role requires a strong balance of hospitality leadership and sales expertise, with a passion for personalized service and the confidence to guide clients from initial inquiry through successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive event sales from inquiry to close, including private events, catering, and full buyouts
  • Proactively prospect, network, and build relationships to generate new business opportunities
  • Identify and execute up-selling opportunities across food, beverage, and event enhancements
  • Meet and exceed revenue goals and booking targets
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them design events that align with their vision and budget

Event Planning & Execution

  • Plan, organize, and execute complex group events with a high level of detail and professionalism
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and logistics to ensure seamless event delivery
  • Create clear and effective Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to communicate event needs across teams

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the events team, ensuring high performance and accountability
  • Act as Manager on Duty during events, providing direction and problem-solving in real time
  • Develop team members’ skills in both service and sales-minded thinking

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Culinary, Beer Hall Management, and other internal teams to deliver exceptional events
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and senior leadership

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven success in sales and client relationship management
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events and sales pipelines simultaneously
  • Highly motivated with a track record of achieving or exceeding goals
  • Skilled in coaching others and driving team performance
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to think strategically and creatively

Preferred Requirements

  • Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field (B.A. or B.S.)
  • 2–3 years of experience in event sales, catering sales, or hospitality leadership
  • Experience with event booking or CRM software
  • Demonstrated ability to close sales and grow event revenue
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
