We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Transportation Coordinator to oversee the daily transportation and logistics operations based at our manufacturing facility in Humble, TX. The ideal candidate will coordinate shipments, communicate with carriers and internal teams, and ensure the timely movement of freight. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Transportation Coordinator to oversee the daily transportation and logistics operations based at our manufacturing facility in Humble, TX. The ideal candidate will coordinate shipments, communicate with carriers and internal teams, and ensure the timely movement of freight. Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers, drivers, and customers.
- Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to customers and internal teams.
- Dispatch drivers and optimize routes for efficiency and cost savings.
- Resolve transportation delays, delivery issues, and customer concerns.
- Maintain accurate transportation records, bills of lading (BOLs), and shipping documentation.
- Verify freight charges, review invoices, and assist with billing discrepancies.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure timely loading and unloading of freight.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and customers.
- Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and reduced costs.
- Perform other logistics and administrative duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or warehouse coordination.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, receiving, shipping, and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Experience in logistics transportation.
- Experience working with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Leadership abilities and the ability to work independently.
- Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
- Occasional evenings and weekends as business needs require
